New Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Trailer Shows Off Skill Trees, Quests, And More (VIDEO)

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is going to be quite a nostalgia factory, serving up tons of content fans of the Dragon Ball franchise will recognize throughout its long history. Bandai Namco has detailed quite a bit of what fans can expect from the new game, and now a recent trailer is offering a bit more on the technical side of things, showing off various minigames players can enjoy as well as mechanics that allow players to grow more powerful throughout out their time playing the title.

The minigame system revealed in the trailer looks to be quite promising, and focuses on many of the fillers and casual moments fans see throughout the manga and anime. As far as leveling up the different characters goes, players will be able to take advantage of tackling side quests and the aforementioned minigames to collect various rewards that will help them flesh out their skill trees. Completing side quests with specific characters will also net players Soul Emblems that are used to fill out community boards that will grant a variety of bonuses as they’re completed.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to become available for PC Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on January 17th of 2020.
