WATCH: Bridge Constructor Portal Available Now on Mobile

Bridge Constructor Portal

Just as most of the gaming industry was looking back at 2017 to close out the year, it seems that one last minute surprise was meant to keep gamers on their toes before 2018 arrives. Earlier this month, Headup Games announced that a new entry in the Bridge Constructor series was in the works, and would crossover with one of Valve’s most popular franchises, Portal. While some were upset that it was a not a canonical sequel to the first two Portal games, many were happy to hear GlaDOS’s dulcet tones once more. Now, Bridge Constructor Portal is now available on mobile platforms, with a new gameplay trailer giving a preview of the mayhem players will be in for.

Headup Games has released a new gameplay trailer for Bridge Contructor Portal on their official YouTube channel to celebrate the game’s launch. The trailer once again sees the return of the condescending GlaDOS, as it showcases the gameplay for those new to the Bridge Constructor series. The Bridge Constructor games have focused on two-dimensional bridge-building puzzles, usually involving getting a vehicle from one point to another across various obstacles. In place of Chell, this game instead uses the stick figures seen in the Portal games’s signage.

With these stick figures controlling vehicles meant to be delivered to the classic exits from the series, the player will have to traverse them through the titular portals the series is known for, with multiple paired portals now appearing in the same puzzle. Other mainstays, such as the turrets and lasers also can be seen in the game trying to stop the player. This game certainly seems like a proper melding of two fun puzzle games that captures the spirit of both. What do you guys think about the new Bridge Constructor Portal gameplay trailer?
