New Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 'Blackout' Locations Teased

It appears that the map in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s Blackout mode may be getting some adjustments soon. Recently, Treyarch posted a teaser video on the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Twitter account that depicts the Blackout map in the form of a blueprint. Starting as a simple look at the existing map, red X’s are soon added to it on various areas, suggesting that that is where the changes will occur. Check it out below:

As seen in the short clip, loads of small X’s are shown cropping up all over the Blackout map, with one massive X appearing in the bottom right area. What this means is anyone’s guess at this point, though it is possible that they mark new buildings or a new town to explore, if the large X is any indication.

One other thing to note is the dark circle in the top left of the map. Currently there isn’t anything out there, so it’s possible that Treyarch plans on doing something with it. It could certainly be something as simple as a condensation ring from a cup, but it is more likely that something is getting placed there in a new update. DFTG will keep an eye on the Call of Duty chatter and report when we hear something new.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
