Apex Legends: Best Drop Points To Find The Best Loot

Apex Legends: Best Drop Points To Find The Best Loot

Respawn Entertainment’s new free-to-play game Apex Legends made a massive impact upon launch, racking up over 10 million users playing within the first 72 hours after it was released. As it is a battle royale game, acquiring loot is a particularly important factor to one’s survival, and those that manage to make it past the first couple of rings maybe greeted with a swift death should they be unprepared. Thankfully, the internet is a thing that exists, and an unofficial Apex Legends Twitter recently posted a map that shows the loot tier level of all of the notable zones on the Kings Canyon area. Check it out below:

As seen above, the zones highlighted purple are more often than not the best places to drop for higher quality loot, with the areas highlighted blue being middle-tier and white being the lowest. That said, it should be noted that the areas highlighted purple simply have a higher chance to spawn better loot, there’s still no guarantee of getting anything good. The percentages are just higher. The full, interactive version of the map can be found right here.

There are a few other loot-heavy aspects of Apex Legends that aren’t listed on the map due to their randomized nature. There is a supply ship that flies around the map that skillful players can potentially land on when initially dropping in. Naturally, many other squads will likely have the same idea, so it tends to be a bloodbath early on. That said, the risk may be worth the reward for a skilled squad.

Hot Zones are also worth mentioning here. These are marked by a sizable blue circle on the map, and denotes an area that has a higher chance to spawn a fully kitted out weapon, something that would be extremely beneficial at the beginning of a match. Again, keep in mind that the Hot Zone locations are randomized, and there is only a higher chance at spawning these weapons, it isn’t a guarantee.

Apex Legends is now available free-to-play for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Those interested in the latest patch notes for the game can find them right here.
