Bethesda Teases “Next Chapter” for Elder Scrolls Online
Bethesda has revealed in a blog post earlier that it plans on announcing some major news for its MMO The Elder Scrolls Online. The company behind the Elder Scrolls and Fallout games will be hosting a live-stream event on Twitch, which will begin at 11AM PST/2PM EST tomorrow, January 31. Bethesda is asking its viewers to get their cameras ready and record their reactions, so chances are, we are going to be treated to some pretty exciting news tomorrow!
Despite the cloak and dagger, we may already know what Bethesda is planning to reveal. A data-mined development map of Vvardenfell, the main landmass in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, was uncovered earlier this month by Reddit user FloorBelow. This may very well be the “Next Chapter” that Bethesda is teasing, which would make sense, given how popular Morrowind has always been with fans of the Elder Scrolls games. There was even a not insignificant amount of hype due to Skyrim’s Dragonborn DLC, though that only placed our dragon-killing hero on Solstheim, an island off the coast of Morrowind. Tacking onto the speculation, it looks like the background of the “Next Chapter” teaser image could be a reference to the Red Mountain, a large volcano located at the center of Vvardenfell.
