Despite the community’s resounding disappointment when Larian Studios announced the delay for Baldur’s Gate 3’s early access release, there was no doubt that it would be worth the wait. During their Panel From Hell livestream, host Geoff Keighley, Dungeons & Dragons’ Chris Perkins, and Larian developers Swen Vincke and Adam Smith revealed brand new details on Baldur’s Gate 3, including an early access date.

Geoff Keighley rang in the panel with a cinematic trailer for Baldur’s Gate 3 – similar to a previously released one with new CGI additions toward the end. The stream highlighted new gameplay footage, a deep dive into early access content, and more. Check out the entirety of the Panel From Hell below:

Baldur’s Gate 3 hits early access next month on September 30th. The content available during this phase of the game is almost triple, if not more, than Divinity: Original Sin 2’s first act. So there’s plenty of gameplay to experience first-hand. Fifty-six minutes into the Panel From Hell, Larian Studios premiered new gameplay featuring an exposed brain that “quivers excitedly” at your presence and seeks your help in escaping its host.

According to the latest update to their Steam page, Baldur’s Gate 3 will feature online multiplayer for up to four players, origin characters, turn-based combat, and more. Check it out here. There’s plenty more where that came from! Prepare yourselves when Baldur’s Gate 3 heads to Steam in September!
