baldur's gate 3 larian studios

Larian Studios has been relatively transparent about the progress of Baldur’s Gate 3 development so far, especially as they adjust to their new normal of working from home. Though we anticipated an early access launch in August, there’s always the possibility of a delay given the current state of the world. Unfortunately, that turned out to be the case.

Taking to social media, the studio revealed that there will be a delay in the early access launch for Baldur’s Gate 3. Despite how hard they tried to push the cycle and meet their previously announced deadline, Larian Studios had to break the unfortunate news to the community. Thankfully, it’s not all bad news! Check it out:

While Baldur’s Gate 3 won’t get an early access phase in August, there is a new release date and additional information from Larian Studios happening next week. We can’t wait to see what the team has in store on August 18th!

Despite all the delays and cancellations, there are some events that have gone digital instead Reveals and world premieres are still happening all over the world – just in a different format than we all thought. There’s more gaming goodness to come in 2020, especially with the dawn of next generation consoles coming this holiday season! Not all is lost and game time per household has definitely increased!
