Apex Legends Kings Canyon Night Map Revealed (VIDEO)
Apex Legends is gearing up for quite the spooktacular Halloween event starting next week. Previously revealed thanks to some diligent dataminers, the Halloween event – titled Fight or Fright – kicks off on October 15, and will feature several new cosmetics, the new limited-time Shadowfall mode, and a nighttime version of the Kings Canyon map.
The limited-time Shadowfall mode will take place on a nighttime version of Kings Canyon, though until now we haven’t been able to check it out for ourselves. Thankfully, the folks at Respawn Entertainment have come to our rescue by showing off a few glimpses of how it looks in the first episode of the Apex Legends devstream. The segment where the devs reveal the new map variant begins at 12:33. Check it out below:
According to the developers, Shadowfall is actually the first limited-time mode that won’t be straight battle royale. Instead, once a player dies within the mode they turn into a Shadow Legend that gains increased speed, a melee attack, and the ability to climb even further up walls in order to scare the crap out of other unsuspecting players. Not much else was revealed during the devstream, though it was promised that we’ll see a full trailer for the Shadowfall event prior to its launch on October 15.
Apex Legends is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
