Apex Legends Datamining Reveals New Halloween Event Details

Apex Legends

The third season of Apex Legends recently arrived bringing with it the long-awaited Crypto, as well as a new map, weapons, and other changes. While the new season seems to be off to a great start it seems as though there’s more to come. Being that it is the month of October and Halloween is just around the corner, it seems that the developers are looking to add a little spoopy goodness into the game with an upcoming event.

A recent leak hinted at the arrival of a seasonal event coming to the game and was later confirmed thanks to Pathfinder voice actor, Chris Edgerly. Now it appears that new information has surfaced hinting at the potential goodies players will be able to enjoy when the event goes live later this year. In the meantime, a badge that characters can acquire has already popped up in-game called Fight or Fright and can be acquired by players when they complete the Fight or Fright event challenges.

A dataminer by the name of Shrugtal has also been hard at work searching through the game’s files, discovering a whole host of treats for players such as a new Wraith skin featuring glowing eyes and black, shadowy skin, new voice lines, and Shadowfall, a new map that appears to be a Halloween rework of the original Apex Legends map, King’s Canyon. The map will have all kinds of creepy environmental effects including glowing Leviathans, spider-infested loot crates, and more. It also seems as though there may be a new seasonal game mode that will see dead players come back to life to join an undead horde and even hints at the possibility of seeing a new announcer character for the event named Revenant, who may eventually become a playable character featuring some poison-based abilities.

Apex Legends is currently available for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Let us know your thoughts on the Halloween event and more in the comments section below. As always don’t forget to follow Don’t Feed the Gamers on Twitter for 24/7 coverage of all things gaming and entertainment.
