Animal Crossing: New Horizons Grape Harvest Basket Suggests New Fruit Coming Soon

Animal Crossing New Horizons Grape

With so many people in the world keeping to themselves at home this year, Animal Crossing: New Horizons proved to be the perfect game to replicate the experience of daily life in a cutesy alternate world of animals. The game has managed to stay relevant and captivating to its audience for several months now, in part thanks to the frequent updates to the game that Nintendo has added. Now, a new Animal Crossing: New Horizons grape harvest basket item has leaked, which may indicate a new fruit being added to the game: Grapes!

As reported by Prima Games, dataminers have discovered new seasonal items that will be available for players to purchase in the game. Among the new items is a grape-harvest basket, which will be able to be purchased for 800 bells and worn on one’s back when made available. According to the findings, the grape-harvest basket will be available in September, coinciding with a new seasonal Grape Festival event. This is meant to be reflective of common grape harvesting seasonal festivities held in the US and Europe in September.

Many believe that the inclusion of the grape-harvest basket and festival would imply that this will be similar to the cherry blossom seasonal event seen earlier this year, in which Animal Crossing players could collect cherry blossom petals and turn them into new furniture items. The theory is that this new event will make grapes a harvestable fruit that can similarly be collected and crafted. There has been no confirmation that grape trees or vines will be added to the game yet, so it is a mystery as to what activities the grape harvest festival will consist of. For now, players have something to look forward to in September, at least according to this news heard through the grapevine.

Do you think that this Animal Crossing: New Horizons grape harvest basket will lead to grapes as a new pickable fruit in the game? Let us know in the comments below!
