Destiny 2 October Updates Outlined By Bungie

Destiny 2

Bungie has broken down what fans can expect this month for Destiny 2 as the developer plans to roll out updates. The company posted on their blog about upcoming events and changes that will make the game a more enjoyable experience. The blog also confirmed the October 16th “Festival of the Lost,” which will bring new challenges and celebrate those heroes that have been lost:

Be it Power, Triumphs, Exotics, or quests, there was an aim to achieve. Ever since Cayde-6 met his doom in the depths of the Prison of Elders, we’ve shared a journey through the discoveries in Forsaken. Week after the week, the community conversation has been dominated by the revelation of new secrets and challenges. Some of you have lamented the fact that’s it’s been hard to keep up, but all of these things still await you.”

October 16th also marks the release of Destiny 2 update 2.0.4 that will implement improvements in quality-of-life. The ability to identify Lost Sectors once a player has looted them will be added to the mix, along with Legendary drops in Through Fire and Flood, Crooked Fang-4fr, and Zenobia D, giving Edge Transit some much-needed company. Scouts will also be getting a PvE boost, new transmat effects, including Gambit PvE enemies and the ability to track up to 3 pursuits at once.

Destiny 2 Update 2.0.5, which is looking to release on October 30th, will rebalance the Distribution/Dynamo perk functionalities. They will also be looking at balancing Boost Sword and Fusion Rifle damage in PvE after considerable player feedback. Malfeasance and Gambit activities in PvE will also be getting a viability increase.

Titan Banner Shields will be getting a visibility adjustment so that players can see through the effects and adjustments to Exotic rewards should reduce duplicate drops. Nightfall will be getting some changes as well, allowing for Unique Reward increases each time players complete it without a unique drop. Ascendant Primeval Servitor span rates are being adjusted to change the frequency, and Masterwork Corse is being added for Spider “Wanted” and Scrapper bounties.
