Fortnite Unveils ‘Support-A-Creator’ Program – Beginning Next Week

Fortnite

Fortnite seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. With weekly updates, fresh content on a regular basis, floating islands, and so much more, the Epic Games’ entity is a powerhouse of success. That said, the developer is gearing up for the holiday season by getting in the giving spirit.

Epic has recently announced the Support-A-Creator program, which is set to allow fans to support their favorite Fortnite content creators in quite the interesting way – through the power of V-bucks. Due to arrive with next week’s update, a tab will be featured in the Battle Royale Shop and the Save the World Loot tab. Players can access the Support-A-Creator program through here, where they can enter the Epic gamer tag of whichever content creator they intend on supporting. After doing so, that creator will earn $5 “for every 10,000 V-Bucks spent by players who elect to support them in-game.”

After 14 days, players can either reselect their original supported creator or choose a different person. The event will begin alongside the next Fortnite update during the week of October 8th, and is set to go through until the end of the year on December 31st. However, Epic does have some requirements for creators to be eligible to apply, which you can read below:

  • Has regularly created and released Fortnite content over the last 30 days
  • Has 1,000+ followers on at least one major social platform
  • Completes the Affiliate Agreement and abides by our Creator Code of Conduct
  • Capable of receiving payment in a form that Epic supports

Fortnite is currently available on Mac, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, Xbox One, Android, and iOS. Those who are looking to apply for the Support-A-Creator program can learn more right here.
