Fortnite: New 'Stink Bomb' Grenades Coming Soon

Fortnite recently made its way onto the Nintendo Switch, much to the enjoyment of Switch owners everywhere looking to get in on the worldwide battle royale goodness. While the new players on the Switch are still getting settled in, developer Epic Games is still working on cranking out quality content for all platforms to enjoy. The latest new addition coming soon to Fortnite is…all right I can’t really say this eloquently so, they’re Stink Bombs. Fortnite is getting Stink Bombs.

The folks over on the Fortnite subreddit discovered the news within the “New Updates” section that reveals what is on its way into the game. The list this time around includes Stink Bombs, alongside a brief description of the new weapon. Here’s the image:

According to the description attached to the image, the Stink Bomb “explodes into a cloud on impact” and will “slowly damage anyone inside.” Unfortunately the description is brief, and does not include useful bits of information such as damage radius, how much damage it does per tick, things like that. At this time all we know is that the Stink Bomb acts as a throwable grenade, which can potentially be used to ‘smoke out’ enemies in buildings, or force those hiding behind cover to make a run for it.

There currently isn’t a release date attached to the upcoming Stink Bombs, though it will likely be pushed to the live servers this coming Tuesday, Fortnite’s usual day to add in new updates.

Fortnite is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
