Project Athia’s Official Name ‘Forspoken’ Revealed With New Teaser Trailer (VIDEO)
We finally have a new update for the mysterious Project Athia game thanks to today’s Square Enix Presents digital showcase. Announced last year for the PS5, Square Enix revealed today that the official title of Project Athia is Forspoken, a name that was originally thought to be the identity of the new Final Fantasy XIV expansion.
Actor Ella Balinska took to the stage during today’s Square Enix Presents to announce that Project Athia is now known as Forspoken. Balinska also reveals that she plays the lead character of the game, Frey Holland, who is an “ordinary young woman who must harness her magical abilities to survive in the fantastical yet dangerous land of Athia.” Check out the newly revealed Forspoken footage below:
Based on the new Forspoken footage it appears that Frey is accompanied by a disembodied voice, which may or may not be ‘located’ on the golden bangles on Frey’s right arm. Unfortunately the title announcement footage doesn’t give us much else to go on other than that Frey appears to be in a fish out of water situation. Thankfully, with the new title reveal we’ll likely learn more about the game in the coming months.
Forspoken is currently in development for the PS5 and will be releasing at some point in 2022.
