Black Panther Revealed For Marvel’s Avengers (VIDEO)

Black Panther Marvel's Avengers

The comic book-inspired battles of Marvel’s Avengers are about to get another fighter in the form of Wakanda’s own warrior-king the Black Panther. Revealed during the Square Enix Presents showcase, T’Challa himself was confirmed to be on the way to the co-op action title later in 2021, with the first look at the enhanced African superhero shown off during the announcement’s short-but-sweet reveal.

As seen in the teaser above, Marvel’s Avengers’ take on Black Panther is shown in its full glory, with the iconic costume appearing to take inspiration from the comics as well as Marvel Studios’ version of the character played by the late Chadwick Boseman. Leading up to the unveiling, the footage depicts several stunning areas of Wakanda and makes references to the near-unbreakable metal Vibranium as well as villain Ulysses Klaue, teasing the story content that will likely arrive alongside the DLC.

In addition to T’Challa, Marvel’s Avengers also revealed an all-new roadmap, which extends from now to the spring and summer, as well as “beyond” into 2021. In addition to today’s release of Hawkeye DLC and next-gen versions of the title, the post details a myriad of new events such as the multi-heroed Tachyon Anomaly, the Red Room Takeover HARM Room challenge, a Cosmic Cube-involved adventure, as well as apocalyptic Wasteland Patrol missions. The Black Panther expansion is listed at the very end, suggesting it may be a while before the DLC actually comes out.

Marvel’s Avengers is out now for Google Stadia, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
