Death Stranding PC Launch Delayed Due To COVID-19

It looks like COVID-19 has caused yet another video game delay, this time hitting the highly anticipated PC version of Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding. Originally slated to release on June 2, 2020, the PC version of Death Stranding has been pushed back another five or so weeks, with the dev studio citing the ongoing pandemic as the reason for the delay.

Kojima Productions recently took to Twitter to make the official announcement, revealing at the same time that the new PC launch date for Death Stranding is now July 14, 2020. Per the post, this is to “allow more development time amidst the current work-from-home orders in place.” The good news is that, given the perceived certainty of the new release date, chances are this time it’ll stick.

So, what can be expected from the PC version of Death Stranding? Well, basically the same game that’s currently available on PS4, complete with some extras such as high frame rate, photo mode, and ultra-wide monitor support. There will also be cross-over content from Valve’s Half-Life series. Yes, that means head crabs.

The PC version of Death Stranding is now expected to release on July 14, 2020.
