No Xbox Series X ‘Next-Gen News’ Planned For TGS 2020
Sony and Microsoft are really cutting things down to the wire in terms of next-gen reveals. With just a few short months left until Holiday 2020, one would expect there to be some plan in place for letting consumers know just how much they’ll be playing for their next-gen console of choice. While the upcoming TGS 2020 would undoubtedly be an excellent venue for such a reveal from both parties, Microsoft has recently confirmed that there won’t be any new Xbox Series X reveals during the event.
Microsoft recently took to Twitter to hype up its presence at the highly anticipated TGS 2020. What would normally be the company’s star of the show has been relegated to the bench, though, with any potential Xbox Series X news being shelved in favor of regional priorities, with Microsoft specifically highlighting Japanese games & creators and the Eastern community at large in terms of what to expect at the big event.

One particularly nice thing Microsoft felt like doing was setting proper expectations prior to the event. That said, we’ve seen in the past that even highly publicized announcements such as the one above won’t prevent folks from going in expecting something entirely different, though at least Microsoft can say they did their part.
The Xbox Series X is slated to release at some point this November.
