Wreck-It-Ralph 2 Release Date Delayed, Lion King and Frozen 2 Premiere Dates Confirmed
It looks like all hands on deck for Disney with all the production commencements and release dates confirmed. Not only is Will Smith currently discussing the possible role as Genie in the live-action remake of Aladdin with open casting calls for other roles, the live-action adaptation of The Lion King have already found Timon and Pumbaa. Not only that, Indiana Jones 5 and Star Wars: Episode IX have been confirmed as well and three more movies are making their way to the public. Frozen 2 will debut on November 27th, 2019 while The Lion King is set for July 29th, 2019.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Gigantic, a new film based on the Jack and the Beanstalk story, will be postponed until 2020 with Wreck-It-Ralph taking its place for November 21st, 2018. That’s about 8 months later than the previous announced March 9th date. While those may seem far off, there will be plenty of other film and entertainment studios presenting other projects to keep the public busy! Of course, there are other movies in the works such as A Wrinkle in Time (March 9th, 2018), Magic Camp (August 2018), and an additional unnamed feature.
Disney isn’t the film studio giant trying to bring out movies like a production line either! Recently, a Cloak & Dagger trailer was introduced while Avengers 4, Captain Marvel, and Infinity War are all in progress. There’s also the Guardians of the Galaxy coming out on May 5th. There’s a lot to look forward to in the next few years, that’s for sure.
