Star Wars Episode IX Gets a Release Date Alongside New Indiana Jones Film

With the Star Wars celebration conventions wrapped up and May the Fourth (be with you) on the horizon, it is only fitting that news on this space saga be in full force. Good news for Star Wars fans looking to know all of the details on what the future of the franchise holds, because Star Wars Episode IX finally has its official release date.

With Director Colin Trevorrow at the helm of the future film, the third and final movie of this section of the franchise will be rolling out May 24, 2019. Episode IX will be the final piece to the latest trilogy’s puzzle.

Not much is known about the third film but we do know that our beloved Carrie Fisher will not be featured, making Episode VIII her final film for fans to see General Organa in action. We also know that the mystery of Rey’s lineage will finally be revealed during the next movie in line coming out later this year.

In other film news for long-standing franchises, the fifth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise has a release date as well. The latest movie has just been confirmed for a July 10th, 2020 release with both Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford returning.
