Retail Listing for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Hits Shelves a Little Early
Though the Bethesda presentation won’t begin until tomorrow night, it seems as though someone from Amazon listed Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus a wee bit early. Uh, oh. That wasn’t the best thing to happen since a lot about E3 is the surprise factor, but this situation isn’t entirely unexpected. In all the excitement and hub-bub of E3 week, it’s no wonder some might be a little excited to list some games from well-known studios. It’s also possible because of how frantic planning and communication can get that misunderstandings happen. On the other side of it, it’s all the more reason for public attendees and fans of the Wolfenstein franchise to feel enthusiastic about the official reveal coming next week.
Especially considering how popular the first-person shooter was, it only seemed right to continue on with the trend of creating a sequel and subsequent expansions. According to the listing, which has since been taken down and posted on NeoGAF, the title will be released on all major platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This may also come as no surprise to some of those that pay attention to gaming news. Bethesda executive, Pete Hines, teased the impending Nazi butt kicking in February, calling it “fu**ing bananas”. How is that for boarding the hype train?
MachineGames has been hard at work on something, which I can tell you I have played. It is f**king bananas. And I can’t wait to show what it actually is.”
So, what are your thoughts on this temporary “leak” of information regarding Wolfenstein 2? Were you a fan of any of the previous games (either by Bethesda or previous developers)?
