A new Assassin’s Creed Origins leak has surfaced that reportedly reveals the game’s release date and further supports the title of the game. The history of the latest installment in the franchise has been rife with leaks so another tally on the wall is of little surprise. What that leaves for E3 remains to be seen, but the details are exciting none the less!

The latest Assassin’s Creed Origins leak comes from Reddit, where user HungryGhost57 shared an early edition of the upcoming Game Informer. The issue reportedly confirms the game’s setting in Ancient Egypt along with “Origins” title. According to the leaked magazine images (seen below), the game would have an October 27th release date.

According to the user responsible for the Assassin’s Creed Origins leak, the game will feature a new combat system. In terms of setting, players will find themselves immersed in the time of Cleopatra’s rise and eventual rule. New gear, a leveling system, and additional player character named Bayek will all reportedly be part of the game.

Ubisoft had already discussed plans for a much larger and more ambitious game. Giving players an open world setting that pulls features from many of its other successful titles has risen excitement and anticipation considerably. This Assassin’s Creed Origins leak is just the next drop in the bucket as we inch closer to E3.

It is important to note that the art from Game Informer is nearly the same as a reported leak of a Target reservation card yesterday. Those two pieces, if truly part of the coming Origins game, would definitely confirm these rumors that the game is set in Egypt and named Origins. Ultimately we will have to wait and see, and with E3 coming soon, the wait shouldn’t be long.
