Netflix ‘The Witcher’ Concept Art Reveals Freya Allan As Ciri
Yesterday, fans looking forward to Netflix’s upcoming ‘The Witcher’ TV adaptation were treated to a slew of exciting news in the form of a nearly full cast list. Among the reveals was the news that actress Freya Allan had been cast as Ciri, the young princess of Cintra. Those looking forward to the series reacted in a number of ways, though one fan in particular took it upon himself to draw a mockup of Freya Allan as Ciri, completely in character.
The art comes from Bosslogic, an artist that has done other Witcher mockups in the past, namely that of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia. Seen below, the art depicts Freya Allan as a younger Ciri than we’re accustomed to, though the results are absolutely brilliant. Check it out:

Bosslogic didn’t stop there, as he also released a picture featuring the above drawing, his mockup of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, and a new drawing of actress Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Geralt’s love interest. The quality of the mockups are amazing, enough so that Netflix would do well to take a few pages from Bosslogic’s playbook. Check ’em out below:

Freya Allan as Ciri seems to be a perfect casting, especially if Netflix is going for a younger Ciri for its upcoming series. This sentiment is echoed by ‘The Witcher’ showrunner Lauren Hissrich, who recently sat down with Hollywood Reporter to discuss this casting in particular. “There were some people who I had in mind from the minute I started writing this character and then there were other characters, Ciri is the perfect example, that takes a really exhaustive search,” Hissrich revealed. “We ended up seeing over 200 young women from all over Europe and really saw a great group of girls, but then when we met Freya, she read for another role. I actually went to London to meet with her in person and we knew it right away.” Given how amazing Freya Allan looks in the above mockups, we’re in full agreement.
So, thoughts on the above mockups? Do you agree with the recent casting decisions? Which villain from the books would you like to see on the small screen?
