While Steam users have been able to play the Paranormal Activity VR game for a little while on early access, fans with PlayStation VR are wondering when they’ll get a shot at the horror title. Those interested in an original VR story of the popular horror film franchise won’t have to wait much longer. According to developer VRWREX, Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul will be available for players to enjoy this summer.

The Paranormal Activity VR title is not an adaptation of films in the franchise. Instead, the game presents its own story to players, who must explore a secluded house in the woods. Therein, gamers encounter a myriad of horrifying supernatural happenings. While this may not be the most original idea for a VR title, the franchise gives it forward momentum and the early access has given the game positive attention and ample opportunity to improve before launch.

This isn’t the first time, however, that a Paranormal Activity VR experience has been presented to fans. In an attempt to promote the film “The Ghost Dimensions”, certain AMC theaters had a VR experience attached to the film. Whether or not elements of this will be in the game remains to be seen.

Those looking to dive into the horrifying lore of Paranormal Activity VR title can do just that on August 15th. HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and PlayStation VR will get to enjoy this game upon release for $39.99.
