Upcoming Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Adds Kid Goku

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ has quite a large roster of hard hitting warriors from all throughout the galaxy and beyond. Some of the main fighters have even received some of their variant forms such as Goku, Gohan, and Vegeta. Now one more Goku is being added to the mix, this time with the character as a kid.

Goku has been seen as a child on multiple occasions, the entirety of the Dragon Ball series for example featured a young Goku as he travels with Bulma on a quest to find the 7 dragon balls. The upcoming version of Kid Goku however won’t be the one from Dragon Ball but rather Dragon Ball GT, a series that sees an adult Goku becoming a child again as the result of an accidental wish made by Emperor Pilaf. A new post on the official game’s website reveals that the character will be able to use some of the abilities seen in the series such as the Super Spirit Bomb, Power Pole, Reverse Kamehameha, and the Super Kamehameha.

The latest issue of V-Jump also reveals that Kid Goku will be able to use a hidden Meteor super special move called the “Dragon Fist Explosion”. While ordinarily this move would be the character’s rush attack, if used after a teammate has been killed Goku will transform into his Super Saiyan 4 state.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch. The Kid Goku DLC is set to arrive sometime in May and is a part of the FighterZ Pass 2. The pass itself is available for $24.99 and consists of 6 characters such as the previously released Jiren and Videl. Once Kid Goku (GT) has been released all that’s left is the previously announced Broly (DBS) and Gogeta (SSGSS).
