Turok Remaster Receives PEGI Rating For Xbox One
Turok is one of those games that everyone knows is a classic Nintendo 64 romp where players take on the role of the time-traveling titular character and, in essence, hunt dinosaurs. Now, twenty or so years from its original release for the Nintendo 64 and PC and two short years since the release of the remastered version on the PC, it appears that the Night Dive Studios-helmed remaster may be coming to the Xbox One soon. The news of a Turok remaster for the Xbox One comes from, of all things, a leaked PEGI rating for the game, which was found by Twitter user Wario64. Check it out below:

As seen above, the PEGI rating given to the Turok remaster is PEGI 16, which means the title is suitable for persons aged 16 years and over only. It also lists the system as Xbox One, which is, of course, rather indicative. It should be noted that the “releasedate” listed is not for the game itself; it is the release date for the PEGI rating for the game. As the game is yet to be confirmed for the Xbox One, a release date for the title is currently unknown. Here is the blurb from the original Turok, for those unfamiliar with the title:
A world where time has no meaning – and evil knows no bounds. Torn from a world long gone, the time traveling warrior Turok has found himself thrust into a savage land torn by conflict. An evil overlord known as ‘The Campaigner’ seeks to shred the fabric of time and rule the universe using an ancient artifact known as ‘The Chronoscepter’. The Chronoscepter was shattered thousands of years ago in an effort to keep it from falling into evil hands. The Campaigner has constructed a massive focusing array which he plans to use to magnify and pervert the power of the Chronoscepter in order to shatter the barriers between the ages and rule the universe. Turok has vowed to find the eight pieces of the Chronoscepter spread throughout the Lost Land and put an end to The Campaigner’s evil plot…”
