Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 And 2 Remastered Collection Revealed (VIDEO)
If there is one series of games that has had a strong nostalgia factor for players, and has been much requested for a continuation or a remaking/remastering, it has been Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. The skateboarding franchise from the famous skateboard and Activision is officially getting its moment in the sun once again as a remastered collection of the first two entries has been revealed.
As part of the Summer Game Fest 2020 event, Geoff Keighley was joined by Tony Hawk himself as well as Vicarious Visions‘ Jennifer Oneal to reveal Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2, which is the remastered collection of the two titles that is set to arrive later this year. This is something that fans have been asking for over the years and it is finely a real thing that is happening, and it looks like it will surpass expectations. Check out the trailer for yourself below:
As can be seen in the video above, the remastered Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater collection will feature the same levels, skaters, tricks, challenges, and much more. However, it will all look a lot shinier as all visuals have been updated and can be played in 4K. The create-a-park mode has been overhauled, online multiplayer has been added, and split-screen is still part of the experience for those who want to play together in person.
As for the music, it is unknown exactly which songs will be returning from the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2, but it has been noted that quite a few will still be featured. Of course, with it being 20 years later, music has changed a bit, but for those who grew up with the games, the original soundtrack would surely be appreciated. Many of the same artists from the original games are even listed in the video above. Needless to say, this collection is going to likely be a great time for newcomers as well as seasoned players.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is set to arrive on September 4th for PC (via the Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Keep it tuned to Don’t Feed the Gamers as this story develops, and for other gaming goodness going on right now, check out the following:
