The Witcher Season 2 Reportedly Continuing Production Despite Coronavirus Outbreak

It looks like something as paltry as the coronavirus isn’t enough to get The Witcher series down. With Season 2 Netflix’s immensely popular The Witcher series having officially entered production, fans have been looking for any possible tidbit of new info regarding what’s to come for the show. While said info hasn’t been too forthcoming, we at least now know that production on Season 2 reportedly won’t be slowing down due to coronavirus concerns… At least, not yet.

According to the folks over at Redanian Intelligence, no particularly major production shifts have been made due to the coronavirus. There was reportedly one rescheduling of a scene as one of the cast members would not be promptly available, but otherwise production seems to be smooth sailing. This could of course change at any moment, though for now it’s heartening to see that the cast and crew haven’t been adversely affected as of now.

In related news, Redanian Intelligence also reports that Henry Cavill wore his black eye contacts during some recent filming, indicating that scenes were being shot wherein Geralt is seen drinking one of his potions. Given that the team is currently shooting at Kaer Morhen, it’s possible that he may be showing Ciri how potions affect Witchers.

Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher series is now in production.
