The Witcher Netflix Series' Jaskier Reads 14 Minutes Of 'The Last Wish' (VIDEO)

Can I offer you some Joey Batey in these trying times? That’s right folks, The Witcher Netflix series star Joey Batey is offering himself up to the quarantined masses via a rather perfectly timed 14 minute-long reading of one of Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher novels, and it does not disappoint in the slightest.

Joey Batey recently took to Twitter via Netflix to reveal the details on the newly released video, which has already sparked numerous requests for a full audiobook of the reading. The video itself – which can be found right here – features the Jaskier actor reading 14 minutes from The Last Wish, the first book of The Witcher series. The teaser clip can be found below:

So, what else is going on in the world of The Witcher? While news had begun to trickle out regarding the highly anticipated second season of the show, production has now come to a halt due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Still, that hasn’t stopped some of the cast and crew from interacting with the fans, with showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich having recently released a set photo alongside an inspirational message. Here’s hoping it won’t be too long before Netflix starts up production again on season 2, so long as the timing is right.

Netflix’s The Witcher season 2 is expected to release at some point in the future exclusively on the streaming platform.
