The Outer Worlds launched in October of last year and brought with it the snarky humor of Obsidian Entertainment’s game development team. Then in July, they announced the very first downloadable content to come to the science-fiction action role-playing game – Peril on Gorgon. During Gamescom 2020, said DLC’s director, Carrie Patel, unveiled new gameplay footage with a walkthrough of one of several side quests players can embark on.

In the video above, Patel walked through the “Love is the Plan, the Plan is Death” side quest where players will enter upon a former supply depot that’s been fashioned into a “Sublight-run bar and smuggler stopover” called the Sprat Shack. It’s also a hub for the various side quests players will embark on as well. You’ll get a good look at what the Gorgon asteroid looks like as well alongside new, ambient music to set the mood of mystery.

There are new weapons, enemies, and flora to discover and explore, but a treacherous discovery lies on the Gorgon asteroid. From the looks of it, people are going insane and disappearing and it may have to do with a drug called Adrena-Time.

The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon arrives September 9th for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 for $14.99. Season pass holders will receive the DLC as part of their purchase. Nintendo Switch owners can expect a port at a later date.
