Ostranauts Debuts Trailer And Gets An Early Access Release Date In September (Video)
Ostranauts, a game developed by Blue Bottle Games (known for NEO Scavenger) will be available on Steam on September 10th for Early Access. According to the Blue Bottle Games website, Ostranauts is described as “a detailed simulation of owning and living aboard a spaceship, in a solar system where honest living is a slow death sentence. Set in the NEO Scavenger universe, where Earth has suffered cataclysmic collapse, the rest of the System lives on in a state of capitalistic dystopia.”
Players will also be responsible for creating a captain, finding ways to provide sustenance in the form of food and fuel and keeping debt collectors content. Ostranauts will also require players to build their ship with “the spoils of their career history”. Ostranauts released their official trailer during the current Gamescom event which was found on the IGN YouTube channel. You can check it out below:
The trailer features a narrator that starts breaking down the current issues that need to be addressed as you see dashboard with numbers, indicators, panels and gauges with information on note for PRJCT_ARK_2, the K-LEG Salvage Sector and system maps. The game is a top down strategy game that requires the player to manage and micromanage repairs as well as a crew, your supplies and security. The video then concludes with a few words of wisdom in that “rules are for suckers” as the narrator invites you to steal a spaceship. The Ostranauts Demo is live right now on Steam and available for download.
