The Dark Pictures: Little Hope New Release Date Announced (VIDEO)

the dark pictures little hope feat

Originally slated for release this Summer, Supermassive Games announced a new release date for Little Hope, the next installment of The Dark Pictures anthology after Man of Medan. Instead, it’s heading to current generation platforms this Fall – just in time for the spooky season of Fall. Check out the new trailer below:

Just last month, Supermassive revealed a gameplay first look for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope with a release window of Summer 2020, but it looks like they’re planning for October 30th instead (Halloween Day). Given the haunting nature of the story, it seems frightfully appropriate to release this Autumn instead.

Stranded in an isolated town miles away from other human contact, four college students and their teacher frantically search for a way out, but visions of the town’s past seem to “haunt them from the shadows.” From the dreary fog that blankets their surroundings to the shadows that follow each step they make – it’s not likely that their escape will be easy. One might even be tempted to abandon what little hope they have left while traversing the town.

Akin to games Supermassive has released in the past, a player’s choice has everything to do with whether or not a character survives. One wrong move or decision can lead to someone being burned alive or getting impaled by a standing fence. Pre-orders for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope is available now, allowing folks to gain early access to the Curator’s Cut. Check out the gameplay trailer directly above for a sneak peek.
