Super Smash Bros Switch Roster Decoding Attempt Made After Epic Release Trailer
Last night, the latest Nintendo Direct revealed that the next iteration of Super Smash Bros is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Just like previous Smash titles, the game will have a massive roster of characters for players to choose from. The Super Smash Bros trailer from the reveal indicated that the usual characters such as Mario and Link would be returning as well as introducing the Inklings of Splatoon into the series. The trailer also featured shadows of various other characters and now some clever fans believe they’ve decoded just which characters will make the cut.
Some characters are easily recognizable such as the iconic shoulder pads on Samus Aran’s armor, Bowser’s familiar shell and spikes, Pikachu’s pointed ears, and more. Some characters however are less easy to identify such as Donkey Kong, Princess Peach, or Yoshi. Thanks to a new image circulating the internet, it appears that most of the upcoming Super Smash Bros Switch roster may have now been identified.

While there is no source for the image yet it claims that Pit, Ness, Marth, Wario, Fox, Captain Falcon, Sheik, and Kirby can all be found within the trailer. Of course, none of these come as a surprise since they’ve all made at least two appearances in previous Smash Bros titles. This won’t be the full roster coming to the game by any means, this is simply our first glance from the initial teaser.
There’s going to be a lot of hype building up for the next iteration of Super Smash Bros in the coming months, in the meantime check out this sweet Smash Bros tabletop game to help tide you over.
