Nintendo’s Super Mario Run Mobile App Coming to Android Devices Soon

When Nintendo’s Super Mario Run mobile game came to iOS devices in December, it was one of the Top Grossing and Top Free apps shortly after release. In fact, it was number one for some time, beating out Pokemon GO, Instagram, Mobile Strike, Netflix, and many others. By the end of the month, there were over 50 million downloads for the game and a truck load of success. As of right now, it remains within the top 50 game downloads according to App Annie. So, why not share the success and fun? Well, the popular app will be making its way to Android devices very soon. Although the initial announcement came from Nintendo of America toward the end of December, there has been finally a release date!

The Super Mario Run mobile app will be coming to Android devices March 23rd, 2017.

That may be all good and dandy, but reviews haven’t all been sunshine and glitter ponies. Approximately a week after the game was released, the company received a significant dent to their stock numbers. Negative reviews complained about the inconvenient and senseless micro-transactions. For a purchase of $9.99 to play the entire game, not just the first 3 demo levels, it seemed a tad bit overpriced to many. Now, pair that with initially high hopes and you’ve got a recipe for disappointed fan. However, as mentioned before, it has remained within the top 50 most downloaded and played games, which means there is a feature that is still marketable.

Knowing that the entire game isn’t free, will you still give Super Mario Run a try? Would you pay 10 dollars if it was fun enough? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below or begin your own conversation on Don’t Feed the Gamers Disqus channel!
