‘Super Animal Royale’ Features Adorable Animals Murdering Each Other (VIDEO)
The battle royale genre has seen its share of interesting concepts over the past few years, from the down to earth Chicken Dinner action of PUBG to the more mystical, class-based entries like Realm Royale. Now, it seems that the battle royale genre is about to see its most primitive entry yet with the introduction of Super Animal Royale. Developed by Pixile Studios, Super Animal Royale features tons of adorable animals brutally murdering each other for the right to do the “Winner Dance.” Check out the brief gameplay trailer below:
Currently in a closed alpha period, the developer is now accepting pre-orders on their website for $12.99, or for $29.99 for the Founder’s Edition. The latter edition comes with a bonus Steam key, so those looking to play with a friend may wish to splurge for the more expensive version. Here’s the official blurb of the game from Steam, for those curious:
“Super Animal Royale is an intense, strategic and ridiculous twist on the battle royale genre, with exotic biomes and murderously cute animal characters, all vying to reach the top of the food chain.
- Atmospheric battle royale action from a whole new top down perspective.
- Get the jump on your opponents using a unique line of sight fog of war system that enables sneaking and close combat fighting.
- Adventure through a massive, beautifully illustrated island, filled with diverse biomes and topography. Find weapons and items to aid in your survival, and don’t forget to chop down tall grass. Everyone knows items love hiding in tall grass.
The top down view and streamlined mechanics make the game uniquely accessible and fun, but it’s no easy task to be the final survivor on an island filled with 64 wild and insane animals. The island and roster of genetically modified animals are constantly expanding and changing with updates, and each animal can be customized with different outfits, tombstones, death explosions, weapons and more.”
Super Animal Royale will be available through Steam Early Access at some point this October, for PC and Mac.
