Suicide Squad Game ‘Kill The Justice League’ Officially Revealed (VIDEO)

Suicide Squad Game Kill The justice League

DC games are seemingly raining from the sky on this particular day as Warner Bros. has taken the opportunity to reveal two AAA games at this weekend’s DC FanDome event. We already got a good look at WB Games Montreal’s new Batman(less) game Gotham Knights as well as some surprisingly crisp gameplay starring a playable Batwoman. Following a tease from earlier this month, the latest from Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady Studios has now been revealed, an all-new Suicide Squad game titled ‘Kill the Justice League.’

The big unveiling happened during the big DC FanDome stream, which showcased a nice peek at the tone, characters, and story that players will have to look forward to in the full release. Showing Metropolis invaded by the forces of Braniac, the trailer depicts the aforementioned Squad doing their absolute best to ignore the mayhem around them, only leaping into action when threatened with an explosive death by the game’s version of Amanda Waller. However, things get particularly dicey when Superman shows up looking a bit more homicidal than usual. Check out the Suicide Squad game trailer below.

While there’s wasn’t any gameplay revealed as part of this announcement, one can surely speculate about how the main four of Harley Quinn, King Shark, Deadshot, and Captain Boomerang might play. A few follow-up details by Rocksteady’s Sefton Hill on the DC FanDome stream confirmed the new Suicide Squad game will utilize a 4-player squad, support single and multiplayer modes, and take place in the same universe as the Batman Arkham games. That last detail is sure to get fans extra excited, but it’s unknown how far the game will connect to the previously-established Arkham lore – especially this far away from release.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice Lague is set to release for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X  in 2022.
