Final Fantasy XIV: The Rising 2020 Event Details Revealed

Another year brings with it yet another fourth wall-breaking event coming soon to Final Fantasy XIV. Known simply as ‘The Rising’, said event tends to surface immediately following the conclusion of the Moonfire Faire festivities, bringing with it no shortage of exposition, flashbacks, and Naoki Yoshida himself.

Square Enix recently took to its official Final Fantasy XIV site to detail what fans can expect from The Rising 2020. As with last year’s event, The Rising 2020 is slated to begin just a day after this year’s Moonfire Faire event ends on August 26th and will run until September 14th. Those looking to start the quest can do so by speaking with J’bhen Tia in Ul’dah – Steps of Nald.

Final Fantasy XIV: The Rising 2020 Event Details Revealed

“The Rising festival is known for bringing a splash of color to Ul’dah, and this year’s celebration is especially vibrant,” the event description reads. “J’bhen Tia’s exhibition of stained glass evokes memories of a pivotal moment in history, but he will need the assistance of a willing volunteer to ensure the event proceeds without a hitch.”

As shown above, the rewards from the upcoming Final Fantasy XIV event are a Wind-up Ardbert Minion and The Sultana’s Seven Wall-mounted picture. For those of you who have no idea who Ardbert is, you’d best hurry up and play through Shadowbringers! As of this latest patch the main Shadowbringers expansion story has come to a close, so now’s the perfect time to jump back in and catch up before the announcement of the next expansion.

Final Fantasy XIV is now available for PC and PlayStation 4.
