These Street Fighter Sagat Statues Are Phenomenal But Phew, They’re Not Cheap
While nerd culture has had a fixation with premium statues of its favorite characters for a while now, more recent years have seen an influx of higher-priced premium statues. With the advent of new technologies and greater demand for more detailed pieces, the market has now given way to some collectibles, such as a recent Arkham Knight statue, that cost upwards of $900. The Street Fighter series has certainly seen its fair of premium statues, but none perhaps have been as costly as the new set of Sagat pieces announced by Pop Culture Shock Collectibles that each cost over $1000.
The new heavily-detailed 1:3 Scale Sagat statues have been detailed on the PCS Collectibles website, with the lowest priced of the three statues starting at $999.99. This statue features Sagat in his most commonly known eye-patched and shorts appearance, with hand over his large chest scar. A second option of Sagat in this same appearance posed with arms crossed in front of him is also available at $1,149.99 The third option shows Sagat in his look pre-dating the scars and eye patch, giving him his classic red Muay Thai headband instead. This statue also comes in at $1,149.99
All three statues will be available for individual pre-order in one week on October 16th, but for those able to shell out the hefty $2,099.99 for the two higher-priced statues, a special bundle will be available for pre-order some time today, October 9th. For many of us, this would certainly be a hard purchase to be able to make, but for those passionate, wealthy fans, it would be hard to not want to give up all those Bison dollars.
