Star Wars' Oscar Isaac Re-Imagined as Metal Gear Solid's Snake

The Metal Gear Solid movie adaptation is shaping up to be a prodigious project, with director Jordan Vogt-Roberts claiming that it will be the “first great video game movie.” We are, of course, a long way from seeing the movie on the big screen, and we likely won’t see Solid Snake in action for another couple of years, but that hasn’t stopped fans of the Hideo Kojima series from dreaming up their perfect cast lists for the adaptation. One such fan has taken things an impressive step further by drawing up an impressive picture of Star Wars’ Oscar Isaac as Solid Snake. Check it out below:

Twitter user BossLogic posted the above pictures, with the left photo depicting Oscar Isaac as the iconic Solid Snake. The popular Star Wars actor wouldn’t necessarily be the first person that comes to mind when thinking of people that could do Snake justice on the big screen, though that’s partially because us old folks can’t seem to get David Hayter’s voice out of our heads when we think of Snake. However, the drawing above certainly makes us appreciate how well he would potentially do in the role.

As mentioned in the tweet, the picture on the right is none other than Henry Cavill (Justice League, Mission: Impossible – Fallout) depicted once again as Solid Snake, just with a bit more scruff this time around. This isn’t the first time BossLogic has drawn up Henry Cavill for adaptation roles, either; earlier this month he did a stunningly amazing portrait of Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

From a personal perspective, it is a bit easier to see Oscar Isaac slide into the role of Solid Snake, though if it absolutely has to be Henry Cavill, I demand to see him reload his arms at least once during the iconic fight against Liquid Snake atop Metal Gear. Hey, a man can dream, right?

So, thoughts on the above portraits? Who is your pick to play Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid movie?
