Skyblivion Mod Creators Show Off New Daedric Weapon Set

Skyblivion is one of the most ambitious mods currently in development.  As its portmanteau name suggests, Skyblivion is an effort to put the entirety of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion into Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.  The community of volunteers working on the project intends to bring back every single quest, dungeon, creature, and character into Skyrim.  Players will be able to travel between Skyrim, Morrowind, and the team’s recreation of Cyrodiil, making Skyrim an even more insanely massive game than it already is.  Developers have been keeping the community well informed with constant updates on nearly every aspect of the mod, and now, the devs have revealed an exciting new look at some of the upcoming Daedric weapons players can acquire.

In Skyblivion, players can fight old demonic favorites like Daedroth, Spider Daedra, Xivali, and Dremora when they venture into the many Oblivion Gates being added back into the game.  On top of that, Skyblivion players will be able to craft old versions of Daedric weapons from Oblivion that have been re-tooled for Skyrim.  You’ll see older variations of the Warhammer all the way to the Claymore (greatsword class in Skyrim), and even the return of Long and Shortsword variants.

there is no doubt that this is easily one of the most anticipated mods in recent years.  The team behind the mod is aware of the pressure and need to execute on such an enterprising project.  It has been almost 13 years since Oblivion’s original release and fans have been clamoring for a return to Cyrodiil for a long time now.  They sort of got it with The Elder Scrolls Online, but many fans wanted to play through those same areas untouched and with updated textures and assets.

Seeing cities like Kvatch in their pre-destroyed glory was cool, but I really wanted to be the Hero of Kvatch again and have that solitary experience that ESO simply can’t provide due to its nature as an MMO game.  Hopefully the team on this project can re-capture the magic and make us feel like the ultimate hero of Cyrodiil again.
