Sims 4 Coming to the Xbox One – Release Date Info Released Thanks to Leak (UPDATED)
(UPDATED) After this article was written, we reached out to PlayStation and EA. Sims 4 will be available for Xbox One and PS4 on November 17th)
The original story is as follows:
The Sims franchise is a series that gamers of all ages can enjoy because of its immersive nature and endless hours of entertainment. Players can literally be anyone they want to be, living any lifestyle they want to live, while they “sul sul” and “dag dag” with all sorts of characters in-game. Up until this last installment, Sims fans could play their toons on console or PC but the likelihood of Sims 4 making the jump for its PC exclusivity seemed slim to none. Now thanks to a leak, we now know that it is definitely coming to the Xbox One and even better? We know when.
A product listing randomly appeared recently on the official Microsoft Store that showed the Sims 4 making the jump to the Xbox One on November 17th. EA, the publisher behind this franchise, has yet to make an official comment confirming or denying the latest leak. Though it is possible that the product page went up in error, it is also just as likely – if not more so – that this was simply an error in communication and the page went up before the final green light hit.
Since its release on PC in 2014, the game has had tons of support with new content additions and patch fixes. There hasn’t been any word as to what the plans are exactly for a console port but with the leak fresh, we have reached out to the publisher for further comment and will update this story accordingly.
