Illfonic Focuses on New Game ‘Dead Alliance’ Despite Friday the 13th Promises

Friday the 13th: The Game fans have had a lot of problems with things like disconnect issues and glitches, which they have been asking developer Illfonic to fix for a while now. They have even asked for an Xbox One patch to get that version on level with others and despite Illfonic saying the game will be their focus, players are now upset to discover the company is currently working on a brand new game instead.

Recently on the official Friday the 13th forums, a user named weirdkid5 informed the masses of the new game called Dead Alliance, which is set for release in late August. This title from Illfonic already has a full website, an exclusive announcement trailer, and is described as an “inventive take on zombie games and team-based first-person shooters.” Despite all this, some fans were still shocked to discover that the company has gone against their word.

Dead Alliance was announced back in May, but seemed to go largely unnoticed by fans, especially the part about it being made by Illfonic. Unfortunately, now that the community has taken notice of it, many players are frustrated that the technical issues of Friday the 13th have gone mostly unfixed while Illfonic continuously expressed that it was their priority and all the while what the company was actually focusing on was, “making a zombie survival shooter. Like there’s already not enough of those on the market.”

The beta for Dead Alliance is coming July 27th and the full release is set for August 29th on Xbox One, PS4, and Steam Play.
