Epic Shadow Of The Colossus Crossover Pits Shadow The Hedgehog Against Colossi (VIDEO)
Shadow of the Colossus proved to be one of the most well-received games on the PlayStation 2, and is considered by many to be one of the best games of all time. Interest in the series has once again arisen with a new HD remake of the game now available for the PlayStation 4. Now, a new video has brought an unlikely new hero into the Forbidden Land. The new Shadow of the Colossus crossover video pits popular Sonic the Hedgehog anti-hero Shadow the Hedgehog against the infamous colossi.
RocketJump, well known for its creative gaming-related videos, has released the Shadow the Hedgehog of the Colossus crossover video on their official YouTube channel. The minute-long clip shows Shadow the Hedgehog collecting rings and speeding along familiar locations in the Forbidden Land, such as the infamously long bridge that now has a classic Sonic loop on it. Shadow is then shown encountering the game’s various colossi, each one towering over the comparatively tiny rodent. However, these hulking giants all have fairly slow movement, which gives the speedy Shadow an even greater advantage in their implied fights. One titan as it crumbles is seen spewing thousands of rings upon its defeat.
After the mashup the Shadow of the Colossus logo is shown, with “Shadow” now displayed in the Shadow the Hedgehog font, also providing a cameo with a familiar face. Let’s just say, it’s not the maiden Mono that Shadow needs to awaken from a long slumber. Maybe instead of defeating the colossi, Shadow should have just brought some chili dogs instead.
