Sea Of Thieves Celebrates Massively Successful Jack Sparrow Collab (VIDEO)

Sea of Thieves

Sea of Thieves has come a long way from its start as a simple ship sailing simulator. While the game launched with very little to do, forcing players to be creative in order to have an engaging experience, over time more and more content was added. Story-based adventures, boss fights, new ambient threats, and more have turned the game into an even more wonderful pirate experience. Just last month, the developers at Rare introduced a collaboration with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and gave players a chance to further experience epic tales and collect cosmetics inspired by Jack Sparrow and crew. The game has seen a ton of growth, but the last month in particular has seen a massive surge in player count.

A recent update from Rare reveals that June saw over 4.8 million pirates sailing the Sea of Thieves and the team thanks fans for engaging with the wonderful world they’ve built. The post also explains that the developers are committed to delivering an optimal experience for players and will continue providing updates to fix bugs and various other issues, bring balance to the new content, and more.

For those hoping to get back into Sea of Thieves, the developers also provided a list of the available content to players through including 11 Tall Tales or a story driven experience taking Pirates all over the known map and beyond. Players can also engage with a variety of World Events such as fighting off the “spectral armada” of Captain Flameheart or taking on Skeleton Forts for loot and glory. Seasonal Trials provide players with a progression system, giving then a chance to earn rewards as they play throughout different types of content. Whether it’s taking on Trading Company Voyages or just exploring the open seas with friends, there’s plenty to do and tons of fun to be had.

Sea of Thieves is currently available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Have you jumped into the “A Pirates Life” update yet?
