Scarlet Nexus Explanation Trailer Reveals Some Helpful Story Details (VIDEO)

With Scarlet Nexus releasing later this month, developer Bandai Namco is continuing to release new trailers for the game that provide additional details on what to expect from the psionic action title. To that end, the developer has released a new explanation trailer that offers some further insight into the history of New Himuka and what to expect when playing as either of the two playable characters.

Bandai Namco took to YouTube recently to unveil the new Scarlet Nexus – Explanation Trailer. The trailer comes in at almost 9 minutes in length and speaks about the recent history of the world. According to the trailer, a psionic hormone discovered in the human brain led people to unlocking extra-sensory powers, heralding a new age for the denizens of earth. Unfortunately, this revelation also brought with it alien mutants known as Others that descended from the sky with a hunger for human brains. This leads to the formation of the OSF (Other Suppression Force), a group comprised of skilled psionics that represent humanity’s last line of defense.

Two of the members of the OSF are revealed to be our protagonists Yuito Sumeragi and Kasane Randall. Each of the two characters have their own storylines, meaning players will have to play through Scarlet Nexus twice in order to experience the title in its entirety. The good news is that it won’t be much longer until we’ll get our chance to do just that, as Scarlet Nexus releases for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5, and Xbox Series X on June 25.
