Samurai Jack Game Release Date Revealed (VIDEO)

Earlier this year, Adult Swim and Soleil Ltd. announced Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, a video game adaptation of a popular Cartoon Network series from the early 2000s. The titular character Jack is Japanese samurai whose arch nemesis is the the ultimate evil, shapshifting demon named Aku. Nearly facing defeat, Aku uses what powers he had left to send Jack into the future with hopes he’ll regain enough strength to defeat the mighty warrior. The future that awaits Jack, however, is a grim one.

To experience the final showdown with your own hands, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time follows Jack as he journeys through time to put an end to Aku and free mankind from his dominion. Master various weapons, train, and unlock skills as Jack to garner enough strength to defeat Aku once and for all. Check out the release date trailer below:

Written by the same head writer Darrick Bachman, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time holds with same charm, style, and wit as the animated TV series. Fan-favorite side characters such as Scaramouche, The Scotsman, Rothchild, and others make an appearance. They’re even voiced by the same actors with the exception of the late Mako Iwamatsu, who is succeeded by Greg Baldwin.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time heads to PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One on August 21st, 2020 for $39.99.
