Logan, the new Wolverine film, has arrived and Hugh Jackman seems resolved to make this his final appearance as the character. Now, the X-Men film universe looks to its future, starting with the sequel to the much beloved Deadpool movie. While the film will continue focusing on the new character iterations introduced in the first Deadpool, both the movie’s stars and writers have expressed hopes of seeing Jackman break his planned retirement from the adamantium claws for the sequel. However, it now seems this charge towards Jackman is being led by Deadpool himself, as Ryan Reynolds camps outside Jackman’s house, according to new statements made by the Logan actor.

UNILAD recently had an interview with Jackman, in which the actor addresses the rumors of a possible Wolverine cameo in the upcoming Deadpool sequel. Unfortunately for fans, it appears that Jackman is still steadfast in making Logan his final film as Wolverine, but not without many attempts on Deadpool star Ryan Reynold’s part to fight this. As Jackman states, regarding making a cameo in Deadpool 2,

I have had that question a lot… Ryan Reynolds is literally camped outside my house right now. He’s not very good at hearing the word ‘no’.”

Despite this disheartening response, Jackman claims he would have a difficult time fighting Ryan Reynolds, as he says the actor makes him laugh a lot, which would make it difficult to go toe-to-toe with him. Jackman also states that while he knows this is his preferred choice to leave the role of Wolverine, he is going to miss it very much, saying:

I knew two years ago that it was time for me to leave the party – I think it’s a very good skill to know when to leave the party… Undoubtedly the best party of my life.”

No doubt he shares the fans’ sentiments of seeing the claws retract for the final time, but finds hope in the red, fourth wall-breaking mercenary. What do you guys think?
