Rocket League Winter 2019 Roadmap Reveals New 'Frosty Fest' Event, DLC News, And More

The folks over at Psyonix are moving past Halloween and getting into the Holiday spirit with the newly revealed wintry roadmap showing off Rocket League’s upcoming festivities. Announced in conjunction with the close of Competitive Season 12, the roadmap shows off some exciting new details for the upcoming Frosty Fest event, with the developer also going into some details regarding upcoming free DLC, inventory archiving, and more.

Psyonic recently broke down its Rocket League Winter 2019 roadmap over on the game’s official website. As with most seasonal events, Frosty Fest will feature a bevy of new cosmetics for cars and player profiles, with the event kicking off mid-December and running into the new year. Psyonix also announced that, later this year, all versions of Rocket League on all platforms will be getting the game’s first three DLC packs completely for free. As such, sales on the DLC have come to a halt, and the Game of the Year edition of the title has also been removed from storefronts in preparation of the changes.

Last but not least, Psyonix is planning on implementing a new “Archive” tab in player inventories, so those that no longer want to see some of their items in their inventory can banish them to the new tab. Rocket League’s Rocket Pass 4 is slated to end right before Rocket Pass 5, which kicks off early this December.

Rocket League is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
