Resident Evil Village Reveals Terrifying New Gameplay Footage (VIDEO)

Resident Evil Village Reveals New Gameplay Footage, Demo Release Dates (VIDEO)

The long anticipated Resident Evil Showcase has finally arrived, giving fans another intriguing look into Resident Evil Village with a brand new gameplay and cinematic trailer. Capcom certainly seems to know what the fans want, as within the first minute or so viewers are given another all-important glimpse of our beloved Lady Dimitrescu as she, well, sucks Ethan’s blood. We knew it was going to be a one-sided relationship anyways.

Capcom kicked off today’s Resident Evil Showcase by debuting the latest trailer for Resident Evil Village. The trailer starts with some visuals showing off some of the area around the castle before zooming into Ethan’s first-person perspective, revealing that he has been captured by the mysterious ‘Heisenberg’ character. This is presumably prior to Ethan getting some of his blood taken from Lady Dimitrescu in order to see ‘how special’ he is.

Fast-forwarding to after Ethan’s escape and we see the remnants of the titular village huddled together in hiding, with one of the villagers expressing confusion as “Mother Miranda has always protected us,” which suggests that things were actually fairly peaceful in the village despite being lorded over by a castle full of vampires. Ethan is then seen crashing his second car in as many Resident Evil games, after which we are treated to a few semi-cinematic moments where we see all kinds of creepy things trying to get their hands on Ethan.

The end of the trailer throws a bit of a curveball at us, with Ethan condemning Chris Redfield for “killing Mia” and then asking him to kill him and “finish the job.” Redfield – who is looking more and more like Karl Urban, by the way – seemed intrigued by Ethan’s statement, which suggests that not all is as it seems. All in all, the latest Resident Evil Village trailer gave us more questions instead of answers. Thankfully we’ll be able to dig for the answers ourselves when the game releases on May 7, 2021 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
