Ready Player One Film Will Feature Iconic PlayStation Character Cameos
Let it be said, that this article MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS – so beware! From the first major trailer for Steven Spielberg‘s Ready Player One film, it’s obvious enough that plenty of major characters from various franchises will be gracing the big screen. From Tracer’s Overwatch, Chun Li from Street Fighter, Lara Croft from Tomb Raider, the Iron Giant, and many more already revealed – there’s bound to be others to appear. There are plentiful references to the 80s as well, made apparent by the movie’s main character and his reverence of that era, but it doesn’t stop there.
According to our friends over at ComicBook.com, iconic PlayStation characters will be making their respective cameos in the Ready Player One film as well. While to some, this may not count as a spoiler, others may want to steer clear of the rest of this article, especially if they’re in it for the surprise factor! As for who or what will make an appearance from PlayStation, a couple are likely plain guesses while others may be a prompt a confused “huh”.
Four characters will emerge in the Ready Player One film including Kratos from God of War, Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, Sackboy of LittleBigPlanet and last, but not least, Knack. Perosnally, the last two seem a bit underwhelming, but perhaps they’re likely to be more of an Easter egg than an obvious cameo. Only time will tell!
