Rainbow Six Siege Reveals First Defender With A Shield, 'Clash'

Rainbow Six Siege has revealed its next Operator, and she’s packing a seriously impressive Riot Shield. Named Clash, she is the first Defender to come to the game wielding a shield, and given her background, her crowd-control capabilities will likely be at the forefront of her in-game skillset.

Announced over on the Rainbow Six Siege website, Clash was born and raised in London, where she served in several law enforcement positions before she became well known within London’s Metropolitan Police Services (MP5). It was there that she continued devising crowd-control strategies, at which point she made Detective Constable, where she was then noticed by Rainbow Six. Check out the teaser video of Clash below, followed by a breakdown of her skills:

“Twitch and Mira combined their engineering backgrounds, leading an R&D project to create the CCE Shield (Crowd Control Electro Shield). Clash is the perfect Operator to handle this new gadget and weapon because she understands mob behavior and she pioneered snatch squad tactics, not to mention her experience as a riot officer. She knows exactly when and where to deploy this shield to deny entry and slow down her opponents. Not only that, Clash has the backbone to stand her ground and a cooperative mindset to set herself up for assists. She shows no mercy and she has zero-tolerance for nonsense.”

A release date for Clash is currently unknown, though, per the video, we need only wait until August 19 for her full reveal during the first ever Six Major in Paris.

Rainbow Six Siege is now available for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
